The Packing Assistant
for Women

Tell me where you're going and for how long. I'll build you a packing list based on my real system — so you bring everything you need, and nothing you don't.

Your Trip
I haven't checked a bag in years. Here's my secret formula: READ THIS FIRST

Matt and I have traveled full-time since 2019, and we haven't checked a bag in years. Not once. The whole point isn't packing less for its own sake — it's making your trip easier. No baggage fees, no lost luggage, no hauling a heavy case up three flights of stairs. Here's the system I built this assistant on:

  • 1
Pack for mix-and-match, not one outfit per day. A few pieces that all work together feel like a full wardrobe. If you wear something twice, nobody notices.
  • 2
Start with a 2–3 color palette. The tip that changes everything. When everything goes together, getting dressed is easy and you pack far less.
  • 3
Layer instead of packing heavy. Thin layers beat one bulky coat and get you through almost any weather.
  • 4
Three pairs of shoes, max. They're the #1 space-waster. Wear the bulkiest pair on the plane.
  • 5
Skip the "just in case" stuff. If it's for a scenario you've imagined but probably won't happen, leave it. You can buy almost anything on the ground.
  • 6
One carry-on and one personal item. Everything you'd hate to lose stays with you.
The payoffYou move faster, spend less, and focus on the trip instead of your stuff. Once you try it, you won't go back.

Let's start withthe basics

A few quick questions. These are the things that actually change what goes in your bag.

No worries if you're not sure yet — I'll just keep your list general.

☀️ Hot
🌤️ Mild / Shoulder
❄️ Cold / Winter
🌍 Mixed / Not sure

Pick the weather so I can get your layers right.

Remember: you don't pack one outfit per day — the mix-and-match system means a handful of pieces covers way more ground than you'd think.

🏙️ City & sightseeing
🏖️ Beach / resort
🥾 Outdoors / hiking
💼 Business / work
🚗 Road trip
🚢 Cruise
🎿 Ski / snow
🏡 Visiting family / friends

Pick your main one or two — that keeps your list focused.

Pick at least one trip type so your list actually fits your trip.

Yes — pack a swimsuit
No swimming
Nope, keeping it casual
A few nice dinners
A wedding / big event
Yes — I can wash things
No laundry

This is the tip that changes everything. When everything goes together, a few pieces feel like a full wardrobe.

Just a couple things first — pick the highlighted options so your list is accurate.

Your Packing List

How this works See more
First, make the list yours:
  • To add something: scroll to the bottom, type the item, choose which category it belongs in, and tap Add.
  • To remove something: tap “Don’t need” next to any item you don’t want.
Then pack your way:
  • On your phone, tablet, or computer: tap each item to check it off as you pack. Your progress saves automatically, so you can close this and come back anytime.
  • On paper: tap Print and check items off with a pen as you go.

🚫 What I leave at home (and you can too)

  • The beach towel. It fills half your bag and dries slow. Hotels have them, or buy a cheap one and leave it behind.
  • The hair dryer. Almost every hotel and Airbnb has one. Bringing yours abroad is a great way to blow a fuse or fry your hair.
  • Full-size toiletries. TSA will take them, and they leak. Decant into small bottles or buy on arrival.
  • A second (or third) handbag. One good crossbody bag does it all. Switching bags just loses your stuff.
  • Valuables. Real jewelry, heirlooms, anything you'd be devastated to lose. Travel with peace of mind instead.
  • "Just in case" everything. If it's for a scenario you've imagined but probably won't happen, leave it. You can buy almost anything on the ground.

Pick a category so your item lands in the right place.
